French paragraph:

Salut mon amis!

English Translation:

Hello my friends!
My name is Plum, and although I am speaking French, I am really American. I know French rather well I think, and I would love to speak French with an actual Frenchman. But my mom wouldn’t like me talking to strangers. In my town, everyone speaks Spanish, proably because of how close we are to Mexico, Cuba, and Puerto Rico. It is a little lonely sometimes, speaking absolutly no Spanish and speaking a language that nobody knows but the Dragon lady. But I deal. One bright point is that my boyfriend loves it when I say things in French, even if he has no idea what it is.

This week is banned books week, and in celebration, go to Barnes and Nobles, buy a known “banned book”, then promptly go to your local library, and ask them for said banned book.
When they undeniably look at you in utter horror and disgust that you would be interested in reading such garbage, smile and whip out the book and say in a sweet voice, “Oh, nevermind, I found it myself, thank you.”

Then proceed to find the comfiest spot in the room to sit and read your banned book inside said library.
Assert your right as an American, expand yourself, learn what they dont want you to know!

Buy and read banned books!
Use your American freedoms for once.
Our forefathers didn’t fight for our censorship.
No! They fought for our freedom.

So pick up a “banned” book today.
They’re good for you.

I just found out today that I’ll be out of town for my birthday.
Not only that, but I will be in a nerve racking forensics competition auditioning for the CFL, the first step in getting to the NFL, (The National Forensic League).

I can’t skip it, so I am going to have to skip out on my birthday to audition.
It stinks.
